Wire & Rod feeding accessories allow you to semi-automate the handheld laser welding process. The filler pushes the torch along the joint allowing you to precisely control the travel speed. This significantly improves the repeatability of your process, and increases the gap tolerance when compared to autogenous laser welding.
Protective windows shield the expensive optical components from damage and contamination, and should be inspected and replaced regularly to avoid damage to the focus lens, galvometer, collimating lens, and quartz block at the fibre terminal. Damaged optics are the leading cause of production downtime, and frequent replacement of the protective window is key to ensuring weld quality and uptime.
